practical
Through the links below you can read what you can expect from treatment at Evy psychology practice.
- registration
Please register with Evy psychology practice through the contact form. We can help you with short treatments (in so called “basic health care, bggz” or “mono disciplinarty care”) for many psychological problems. Exclusion: we can not help you if: your GP assesses you need longer treatment (in so called “specialized health care, sggz”, or “multi disciplinary care”), for psychiatric problems (like acute psychosis, schizofrenia), medium-severe addiction problems, eating disoders, research on ADHD and autisme. If you have ADHD or autism and need treatment of a different problem, feel free to contact us. We do not have possibilities voor crisis situations outside office hours, you can then turn to your GP.
- treatment
In the first sessions, we examine your situation and make a structured analysis. This enables us to clarify how your symptoms arose and what caused them, and to determine which approach can be effective. We always choose methods that are evidence based and are suitable for you, we find that very important. Therefore, we also evaluate whether you are gettting enough benefit from the treatment.
Sometimes a couple of sessions can go a long way to resolving the problem; sometimes it can take rather longer. Insofar as possible, we use active methods of short duration, in which you experiment and practice on your own as well as attend the sessions. Our treatments usually consist of four to twelve sessions.
- no waiting list
At this moment we do not have a waiting time or waiting list. After receiving your registration we will call you within a few working days to see if we can indeed help you. We will then plan the first session and your treatment can start. We need a referral from your GP before the first session.
- costs
Often, your health insurance or employer will cover part of the costs of therapy.
We intend to send you an invoice every two weeks. Because we do not have contracts with insurances, you are asked to pay the invoice yourself. To receive refund you can submit the invoice to your health insurance. The amount you will receive depends on your policy. If you have a ‘restitutiepolis’, you will probably be reimbursed 100% (except for your own risk). Usually about 70% is reimbursed with a ‘naturapolis’ or less with an ‘budgetpolis’. Please check in advance with your insurance what percentage will be reimbursed. You can say it concerns therapy in “BGGZ” (generalistische Basis-GGZ) with a BIG-registered psychologist (AGB for Evy=94063391; AGB for Janine Plaisier=94103254; BIG=49932712525) and an approved quality statement (if needed, please ask us for a copy).
To be eligible for reimbursement, you always need a referral letter from your GP and your problems must fit with a psychological diagnosis (“DSM-5 classification). Some problems are not reimbursed, such as burnout, grief or relationship problems.
Employers sometimes have special arrangements. They are increasingly willing to pay (part of) the costs of therapy, especially if your complaints are related to work (f.e. burnout, dealing with stress, perfectionisme). It is also possible to declare the costs through your own company.
